It sounds like Thunder at Thunder Elite! We aren’t talking about the weather; we are talking about the sound of cheering, gymnastics, and dancing, as well as laughter and fun that can be heard in Thunder Elite’s 14,000 square foot facility. 

The new location opened in Bryan in early 2011 and houses an extremely experienced and interactive staff. Thunder Elite provides a rewarding and enjoyable experience for students while building self-esteem. They help each child learn and perfect new skills at his or her own pace. 

Thunder Elite competes extensively in cheerleading, gymnastics and hip-hop dance and is the only gym in Bryan/College Station with National titles earned by their cheerleading teams. The staff at Thunder Elite prides itself in teaching teamwork and making every minute fun -- whether that is through hard work in class or just participating in the many other activities available. 

Thunder Elite is not only fun for students, but also offers an opportunity to develop skills and gain confidence through the classes offered.  The daily classes, Summer Day Camp, Parents’ Night Out, Birthday Parties and additional programs are all run by staff who are CPR and First Aid certified, as well as have passed a thorough background check. Your loved ones are in good hands.

Thunder Elite Cheerleading, Gymnastics & Dance FAQ

Q: Do you have to be a skilled gymnast or already in cheerleading or dance to take a class?
A:
Thunder Elite is not only fun for students, but also offers an opportunity to develop skills and gain confidence through the classes offered whether you are a beginner or an advanced student. We will be sure the class you are in is a PERFECT fit for you. So whether you are a beginner or extremely experienced in cheerleading, gymnastics, and dance, we will assist you at any level. Thunder Elite provides a rewarding and enjoyable experience for students while building self-esteem. They help each child learn and perfect new skills at his or her own pace in a class environment or in a one-on-one environment.

Q: Is TEAMWORK important at Thunder Elite?
A:
The staff at Thunder Elite prides itself in teaching TEAMWORK and making every minute fun -- whether that is through hard work in class or just participating in the many other activities offered such as Summer Day Camp, Parents’ Night Out (every Friday) and our fun and memorable Birthday Parties (every Saturday).

Q: What is the owner, Nicole Podraza’s experience in cheerleading, gymnastics, and dance?
A:
Owner, Nicole Podraza, is a woman who believes in leadership and mentoring. She has been coaching since 1995. In 1999 she began coaching in Bryan-College Station. As a former competitive gymnast, she trained with Bela Karolyi through level 9. After leaving gymnastics, she was a cheerleader for seven years; and was a member of the 1997 national championship cheerleading team from Sam Houston State University. She has coached competitive cheerleading, competitive gymnastics, and competitive hip-hop dance. Gymnasts, cheerleaders and hip-hop teams she’s trained have earned many awards, including much sought-after national titles. She was even awarded “Coach of the Year” in 2006 and 2007 by American Cheerpower. Thunder Elite was also voted “Best Cheerleading & Gymnastics Instruction” in the Best of the Brazos Valley poll for the past three years. These accolades hang proudly on the walls of Thunder Elite, not just for recognition, but also as a constant reminder that hard work, dedication and persistence all pay off.

Q: Is the Staff experienced?
A:
The daily classes, Summer Day Camp, Parents’ Night Out, Birthday Parties and additional programs are all run by staff who are CPR and First Aid certified, as well as have passed a thorough background check. Each member of our staff has experience in one or all three of the categories we offer (cheerleading, gymnastics, dance). Your loved ones are in good hands.

Q: Is Thunder Elite a new facility?
A:
Thunder Elite’s 14,000 square foot facility is a NEW location. Thunder Elite opened for business in March of 2007 and has experienced so much growth that a larger location was needed. The new location opened in Bryan in early 2011 and houses an extremely experienced and interactive staff. Thunder Elite provides a rewarding and enjoyable experience for students while building self-esteem. They help each child learn and perfect new skills at his or her own pace.
