The Bryan Independent School District received a six-year GEAR UP grant in 2008 to provide services to over 1,050 students from the class of 2014. This group of students will be followed through their senior year of high school. Services such as tutoring, mentoring, career advising, summer programs, AVID and other programs that provide information about financial aid and college admissions requirements will be provided throughout the six years of this project. In addition, Bryan ISD GEAR UP works to increase parental engagement and provide professional development training for teachers and school administrators.
