GGA Pest Management FAQ

Q: Why do pests want to make my home their home as well?
A: Common household pests, such as ants and cockroaches and rodents need the same conditions you and I need to survive. They also need food, water and shelter. Your home provides them with what they need to exist.
Q: How can you control pests inside my home if all you are doing is spraying the exterior?
A: We do initially treat the inside of the home to rid you of the present pests however 90% of the pests originate on the exterior of your home. Once the pests have been eliminated in your home there is no need to expose you or your family to pesticides. By treating the exterior we eliminate most of your pest problems. If necessary, we will return to treat the interior if pest should return.
Q: How can I tell the difference between flying ants and termites?
A: Termites are often confused with ants; however, a few simple things distinguish the two. Termites have a broad waist and straight antenna, and both wings are the same size. Ants have a thin, pinched waist and elbowed antenna.
Q: What are the visible signs of termites?
A: The most common sign are swarmers. These winged termites leave the nest in early spring to establish new colonies. Other signs could include small exit holes in sheetrock or trim, presence of dirt tunnels, or presence of swarmer wings.
