Q: What should I look for in a diamond?
A: Make sure it's a business you trust before you buy a diamond. The Four C's are Cut, Clarity, Color and Karat weight. All four are very important in the over all decision.
Q: How can I be sure I am purchasing a genuine stone?
A: Make sure you trust the employees of the store you are buying from. Ask for a certificate or an appraisal. Make sure it's stated on the receipt exactly what you purchased.
Q: How often should I get my wedding ring cleaned?
A: Minimum of every 6 months.
Q: I have an old engagement ring/wedding ring I want to do something with. Will most jewelers buy the settings and remount the diamonds into earrings or pendent?
A: Yes, you can remount them into anything you want or you can melt down the existing gold and create a new piece of jewelry.
Q: Is it true that if you keep sterling jewelry in an airtight baggie it will not tarnish?
A: Yes, sterling oxidizes when exposed to air. Keeping it sealed eliminates that.
