The Dirty Dozen

This article, entitled "The Dirty Dozen," comes from Annie Payne, MomsEveryday correspondent from Western Colorado.

There are plenty of arguments for eating organic produce, but if you can't always choose organic, you may want to consider doing so at least when it comes to "the dirty dozen." This is a list put out by the Environmental Working Group of the fruits and vegetables with the most pesticide residue.

Ranking at number one for the most pesticides are apples, followed by strawberries, grapes, celery, peaches, spinach, sweet bell peppers, imported nectarines, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, imported snap peas and potatoes.

On the other end of the spectrum, avocados, sweet corn, pineapples and cabbage ranked as produce with the fewest levels of pesticides.
