Chrissy was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She moved to Charlottesville in 2004 to be closer to family. She joined Family Vision Care's team and met her husband that same year. In December 2010, they welcomed their son, Jason, into the family. Chrissy is an avid artist and photographer, especially when it comes to the beautiful landscapes the Charlottesville area has to offer.

Chrissy began as a lab technician at Family Vision Care. She gained a thorough understanding of the "hand craft" that goes into every pair pf eyeglasses. Chrissy was licensed and certified as an optician by the State of Virginia in 2008 and continues on-going education to stay up-to-date with the ever-changing world of eyewear technology, fashion and trends. Chrissy still enjoys the hand-crafted aspects of creating beautiful, functional eyewear as such, she specializes in three piece drill mounted frames and lenses.
