How to Detect Ear Infections

Dr. Madaan says the symptoms of a common cold should last 7-10 days. If symptoms persist longer than that or develop into a sinus infection, you should seek medical attention.

Sinus infections can lead to ear infections or sore throats. If you continually have colds or frequently require antibiotics, Dr. Madaan says there may be an underlying allergic inflammation or immune deficiency.
