Q: Do you offer more than carpet?
A: Yes! At Carpet Plus you will find hardwood, laminate, vinyl, cork, bamboo and tile. We also have a large number of area rugs in stock, as well as the area’s largest selection of eco-friendly products.
Q: Are your installers experienced?
A: Carpet Plus is the only Charlottesville-area retailer whose experienced installers are all members of the Certified Floorcovering Installers Association, Inc. (CFI). This means that we guarantee our work and promise to leave your home, office or business with the assurance of a worthwhile and lasting purchase.
Q: Is it true that carpet in the home can contribute to asthma and allergies?
A: No! Studies have shown that carpet is better at trapping allergens than hard surface, such as tile or hardwood, because carpet fibers catch particles and allergens that fall to the floor. When allergens are trapped in the carpet, they cannot circulate in the air for you to breathe. Proper vacuuming effectively sucks up the dirt and dust from the carpet, locks it in the machine and keeps it out of the air.
Q: What is the best way to clean my hardwood floor?
A: We recommend using an all-natural, oil-free cleaner with a dry microfiber cloth. Visit our store to purchase these products. Be sure NOT to use a wet mop or excessive water to clean your floor—wood naturally expands when it’s wet and can cause your floor to crack or splinter. Also avoid using ammonia cleaners or oil soaps on a wood floor — they’ll dull the finish and affect your ability to recoat later.
Q: What are your business hours?
A: We are here to serve you Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
