Q: How do your swim lessons work?
Our swim lessons are designed to teach safety and prevent injury. We teach Parent Tot, 3-12 years old and adult classes at all levels. Lessons are mornings, evenings or Saturdays. You can take one lesson a week, two or as much as needed.
Q: What kind of sports do you offer for kids?
We have Basketball (fall, spring and summer), Cheerleading, Soccer (indoors and out), Volleyball, T-Ball, Flag Football, Tumbling and Floor Hockey. All our coaches are volunteers. Most of our sports are for kids 3-12 years old.
Q: What do you offer in child-care?
Besides our free child-care while you work out we have a full time Preschool program for ages 12 month to five years old, from 6:45 am to 6 pm. Our Preschool children take part in swimming lessons, trips to the park, field trips and other exciting activities as well as classroom projects and activities. We build curious, persistent explorers. We also have a Before & After School program where we bus children to school and then to the Y after school. We also have some off-site care as well. During the Summer we have our Summer Camp Program. Some of our summer activities are swimming, bowling, C.F.D., movies, community enrichment, museums, skating and more.
Q: Do you have to be a member to use the Y?
No, everyone is welcome at our Y. If you are not a member, you pay a guest fee to get in. This allows you to use our equipment, take a class or use the pool. We also have an A.W.A.Y. program for members of other Y's.
Q: What kind of Fitness classes do you offer?
We have a wide variety of classes for all ages, body types and fitness levels on land and in the water. Some of classes are Arthritis, Zumba, Yoga, Kettle Bell, Boot Camp, Kick-Boxing, Cardio, Cycling, Body Sculpting, Chair Fitness, Moving for Better Balance, SilverSneakers, Pickle Ball and Senior Wellness just to name a few. All our classes are designed to cultivate relationships, healthy lifestyle, get fit, improve mobility, motivate and grow through mind, body and spirit.
