This article, entitled "Graco Issues Recall for Infant Car Seats," comes from Liz Hayes, MomsEveryday correspondent from Central Wisconsin.
Ensuring our young children are safe while riding in a vehicle is of paramount importance. Recently, Graco has recalled 1.9 million children’s car seats -- that’s in addition to 4.2 million seats recalled earlier because of a defect with buckles that were difficult or impossible to unlatch.
Graco has been named a defendant in a wrongful death lawsuit in California, where a toddler died in a car fire because her mother and bystanders couldn’t unlatch her from her car seat.
Parents can check and see if their car seat is included in the recall by going to GracoBuckleRecall.com. If your car seat is included, you will receive a replacement buckle kit. Graco has also agreed to provide free buckles to customers who have infant car seats not included in the recall but would like the redesigned buckle.
