How you can help some of the youngest victims of Hurricane Harvey

Presented by: SAN ANTONIO (MOMS) -- Keeping up with the need for supplies in Texas will continue to be daunting as the effort changes from emergency response to recovery.

Families may be displaced for weeks and months due to Hurricane Harvey. One area of concern is providing clean diapers to families with infants. An effort is underway to help.

Jorge Medina, Executive Director of the Texas Diaper Bank says cash donations are needed most.

"We are taking donations, from cash donations, which are always great because we're able to maximize on that dollar and able to purchase diapers more cheaply at a discount," Medina said.

In addition to cash donations, the Texas Diaper Bank is also accepting donations of diapers, including open packages of any size. They also need other baby items, including:

  • Baby wipes
  • Baby wash/shampoo
  • Diaper rash cream
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Any other baby items or gear
  • Incontinence supplies for disabled children and seniors

Monetary donations can be made at TexasDiaperBank.org. You can also donate at the Texas Diaper Bank wishlist on Amazon.com or Jet.com.
