MARSHFILED, Wis. (WSAW) -- Dan Neve's mother and wife were both diagnosed with breast cancer within a month of each other. 8 years later, Dan recounts how these diagnoses and more impacted his life and why he created Cruise for a Cause.
"I've been a Mustang guy forever, a car guy. And I was shopping for a new Mustang at that time. Kind of a dream car, a Shelby GT 500. And before I ever took delivery of the car, a light bulb went on and said I was going to use the car to raise money for breast cancer" Dan explained.
One decked-out Mustang later, and Dan is on his way. Cruise for a Cause visits multiple states throughout the year, showing off different vehicles with breast cancer awareness decals. Through raffles, auctions and T-shirt sales, Cruise for a Cause has raised over a quarter million dollars in its 8 year run.
