Dr. Enguidanos was born and raised in California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA during which time he also performed extensive research at the Jerry Lewis Neuromuscular Research Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Enguidanos graduated from Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his orthopaedic residency in New York City at the State University of New York and his fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Colorado-Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Denver.
He has a broad background in both non-operative and surgical treatment of spinal disorders in children and adults. Dr. Enguidanos is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, NASS (North American Spine Society) and SRS (Scoliosis Research Society). He maintains an active research interest through continuous study; as well as the publication of numerous research articles in medical journals and the authoring of two book chapters. He enjoys speaking on spinal techniques and has presented papers at local and national conferences. He is also Board Certified for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Treatment and Conditions:
His practice includes general orthopaedics with an emphasis on spinal disorder and deformity treatment. Areas of expertise include all areas of the spine: cervical, thoracic, and lumbar surgery, complex spinal reconstruction procedures and revision surgery; scoliosis deformity surgery as well as minimally invasive spinal procedures. He is one of the few doctors in the area that treats sacroiliac joint disruption or degenerative sacroiliitis with a minimally invasive procedure, iFuse.
