This article, entitled April's Crafting Tip Tuesday - Paper Easter Basket comes from April Vicary at April's Crafting Addiction.
Isn't this the cutest little basket you ever seen? You can put some shredded paper in there and some candy and give it to a teacher, co-worker, or just keep it for yourself. I have to say it took me a good three times to get it right, but I finally did it. I used the Stampin' Up! Tea for two designer series paper, glue dots, and snail adhesive.
Paper: Tea for two designer series paper #129311
Tools: Glue dots #103683, Snail adhesive $104332
You will need to cut six strips of designer paper of your choice, make sure the paper has a design on both sides; you want your basket to be pretty right?
You will need to place the designer paper into the paper trimmer and cut 5 strips will to 3/4 x 6 and 1 strip will need cut to 1/2 x 6 ( this is the handle)
Now, take one strip from the set of 3/4 x 6 and what ever side you want to be the rim of the basket, your going to place that side down and run sticky strip or snail across the whole strip.
Next, take the four remaining strips of 3/4 x 6 and using the opposite side of the designer paper, start at the very edge and place that side down, place the next one right next to it, and the next one to the last one, and so on. Your going to have some space now..
You will need to take the first strip of designer paper and bring it right up to the last strip you adhered down and now you kinda have a loop. Take the second strip and do the same, the third one, and the fourth one, so now you have a loop. Now, be careful, and bring the last little remaining strip over to the edge and this forms a basket.
Lastly, take your only strip remaining and make a handle as show. You now have a basket!
