We're home.
The window above our kitchen sink overlooks empty lots full of potential and future neighbors.
The window in the dining room overlooks a yard so thick with green it's blinding.
Our first night in our new home felt like a hotel. Tucking the boys in we felt like guests, Bub and Teebs were so tired but still they laid in their beds half waiting to go home.
Teeber fell asleep first with those familiar teeny, tiny snores.
And it was those familiar sounds that really welcomed us into our house. The baby snores came with us, along with the deep gurgling chuckles trademarked by my boys. We brought the clanking house noises from thunder in the middle of the night and the ear piercing shrieks that crack open the darkness when a little boy needs some snuggles in the darkness of a new room. We brought our family here. And it didn't take long to become home.

And helped each other through the sludgy earth and the buzzing wings that made us both a little uncomfortable.
Our first week home has been really, really beautiful.

I'll miss those walls and those memories. But with our first week under our belt, these new walls are looking really, really promising.
