Repurpose Containers with Fabric

This article, entitled Quick & Easy Craft: Repurpose Containers with Fabric comes from Candace Reid at serendipitymommy.com.

I had the craft bug bite me really late so I couldn’t resist. I used to make hair bows but stopped when I started college since I didn’t have time to blog and make bows. I miss it sometimes!

Tonight I was inspired by an empty chocolate milk canister. It was Nestle Quick. All I did was grab an old outgrown dress of my daughters and rough cut to size. I wanted a jagged look, no perfect seams to make it more country looking. I used hot glue and wrapped the sides then the bottom. For the inside I glued a ring and put fabric inside with a 1 inch overage. I glued down all the seams.

To finish I trimmed in some red grosgrain ribbon and glued on applique’s, then it was done. No sewing!
