Snowman Cones

This article, entitled Snowman Cones comes from Alison at thishomemadelife.com

Did you have a merry Christmas? I hope so. We did it up big this year…five family gatherings in five days. Whew! It has taken us a few days to recover and regroup. All the new toys and gifts have been merged with the old and Christmas decorations are put away until next year. It always feels so good to get all the holiday decor out, but just as good to get it all put away.

Usually, our Christmas is white and we are bundled from head to toe anytime we step out the front door. This year, it has been unseasonably warm, without a snowflake in sight. And while I’m not complaining, it does feel a little odd to see my boys in the backyard sporting only a sweatshirt and shorts to play in. Well, odd for Nebraska in December.

Despite the warm temperatures, we’ve still had snow on our minds. Yesterday, we passed the afternoon cutting paper snowflakes and devouring these little snowman cones. Use whatever toppings you like, this is just what we had handy in our pantry. Be creative and have fun!

Sharing her love for photography, cooking and adventures of mothering 3 boys, 'this homemade life', is a blog written by Alison Bickel.

Vanilla ice cream
Ice cream cones
Pretzel sticks
Mini chocolate chips
Colored sprinkles

Stack 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream onto your ice cream cone, decorate to look like your own little snowman.

Wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year! I am looking forward to all the fun and adventures to come in 2012!
