Stiletto Surgery

Call me crazy but the latest trend in cosmetic surgery is a bit disturbing! That's just my personal opinion. But for some other women, the love of stilettos (high heels) is pushing them to alter their pinky toe!

Now, there's an actual cosmetic surgery procedure called stiletto surgery! Seems women are asking for this surgery to shorten their pinky toe by adjusting its size. All for the sake of wearing stilettos!

There are reports of some having that toe removed completely to fit more comfortably into the pointy toe box of the stiletto! Others merely get some of the bone and muscle tissue in the little toe removed.

Going one step further, some women ask for fillers to be injected to the bottoms of their toes and soles of their feet to create more padding.

Some of these procedures start at $500 but could run into the thousands depending on the type and extent of work.

I don't know about you but it seems a bit extreme. I even think the height of some of these stilettos are extreme and I love high heels. But my highest heels are maybe two inches.

The older I get, I sacrifice shoes for comfort. Not toes!
