I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best water drinker (gasp!). If the recommendation was to drink 8 cups of coffee a day I’d be one happy gal! But unfortunately that’s not the case. Drinking 7 to 12 cups of water a day is extremely important, and how much you need depends on your age, sex, activity level, and a variety of other things. But drinking plain ole water can be a bit boring for some people like myself. Instead of a traditional recipe this month I wanted to give some ideas of how you can perk up your water to help motivate you to drink more.
Here are some things you can add to your water to add a little flavor:
Especially with this oven-like weather we’ve been having it’s extremely important to make sure you stay hydrated and even increase the amount of water you normally drink if you’re spending time outside.
Studies show that proper hydration even helps to promote fat loss and temporarily increase metabolism. When your body is dehydrated it can’t fully perform normal functions, which can affect fat loss. So instead of trying the newest diet trend or weight loss pills, simply increase your water intake.
