Top 10 restaurant menu trends for 2013
In 2012, we saw more restaurants add healthy options, take salt off tables, and join the Kids LiveWell program to offer healthier choices for children. And I’m happy to share that a new report says restaurants will continue serving up healthy trends in 2013.
The National Restaurant Association (NRA) surveyed more than 1,800 professional chefs about next year’s culinary forecast. Here’s what the “What’s Hot in 2013″ report says will be the top 10 menu trends:
Non-wheat noodles/pasta, food trucks, and smaller portions for a smaller price made it to the top 20 of this survey.
