House Works: Beef's Best-Kept Secret

Nothing says summer like enjoying a steak out on the deck or patio. In today's House Works, Chef Judy shows us a way to make a great steak dish that can be grilled, but it can also be made in your oven.

It's called tri tip. It's quick, easy and perfect for a gathering of friends.

Judy's Tri Tip
2 pound tri tip well-trimmed
Garlic Pepper blend
Pat tri tip dry, sprinkle with garlic pepper

Roast in a 475 degree oven until temp reaches 129. Take and rest. Temp will come up to 135. Slice against the grain. Serve with a horseradish sauce. Mix equal parts of Greek yogurt, mayo and horseradish. (If you have some fresh horseradish, grate in.)
