House Works: Spinach Salad

Strawberries are in season now at area grocery stores. But if you travel to farmers' markets, you'll also find something else in bountiful supply...and that's spinach. So why not combine the two?

In this House Works, Chef Judy Gilliard joins us with a tasty salad. It could be a great side dish for your next grilling party, or it could be a meal all on its own.

Fresh Spinach Salad with Pecans and Feta
Judy Gilliard
Servings: 4

10 ounces fresh spinach
1/2 cup pecan pieces
1/4 tablespoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar,, white
4 ounces feta cheese

Place spinach in serving bowl, toss with remaining ingredients. If you have fresh strawberry's top the salad with them sliced.
