Nominate Someone for the Jefferson Awards

It's time once again for the 9th annual Jefferson Awards! It's been such an honor to host the Jefferson Awards for 7 years (I missed last year because I was due with my second child the same day as the ceremony), and I look forward to co-hosting this year with John Gilbert.

The American Institute for Public Service created the Jefferson Awards in 1972, honoring those who have dedicated time to public service. For the past 8 years, select local citizens have been honored with Jefferson Awards for their outstanding public service in our community.

Do you know someone who makes a difference in the lives of others by volunteering? Perhaps they started a non-profit organization, or deliver meals to those in need. Whatever it may be...now's your chance to nominate them for the 2012 Jefferson Awards. You can pick up a form at the KBTX studios, at Spirit of Texas Bank, or at kbtx.com.

This year's ceremony and live telecast will be on Tuesday, April 10th.

Nominations are due February 14th, so get those nomination in!
