My son just turned six and he’s at that age where the birthday party is VERY important. I think he started talking about it three weeks before the actual date.

Usually their little attention spans are short and jump from one topic to the next, but he stuck to the birthday party conversation for the solid three weeks.

This is a lot of pressure for a busy mom. I didn’t want to let him down yet when do you find time to organize – “one more thing”. I know that makes me sound horrible but it’s the truth!

So I went back to my New Year’s Resolution of “letting myself off the hook” and decided I’d let someone else plan it! We went to a local bowling alley… they took care of everything but the cake… it was glorious! Mess free, almost stress free, and my boy was a very satisfied little man.
