"100 Terrific Titles to Read Before Middle School"

Liz Fogle

I will admit we have some serious cabin fever at my house. It has been crazy cold, cloudy, rainy, icy, and snowy here in Kentucky. This extreme weather has left me trying to find ways to entertain Bug (my daughter). Unfortunately, cabin fever is going to get worst; Bug has been diagnosed with the flu!!! Ugh…a germaphobes worst nightmare.

Okay, now I will get back on topic! One of the ways we’ve been filling our time is visiting the library. Over the last few weeks, we’ve read several American Girl books. While at the library I ran across a great resource I wanted to pass along to you. Last year, I blogged about the “100 Picture Books to Read Before Kindergarten”. We’ve slowly been tackling that list.

A new list has come out “100 Terrific Title to Read Before Middle School”. What a great way to encourage an older child to read. As I looked through the list, I couldn’t help but reminisce about some of the titles. Some of my favorite titles are on the list: Sarah Plain and Tall, Shiloh, Number of the Stars, The Boxcar Children, and Charlotte’s Web!

Here the complete list for you guys. I couldn’t find it online, so I am going to try and type it out without a mistake.
