Working out and feeling....SORE!

My youngest child is now 15 months old, so the "I just had a baby" excuse really doesn't cut it anymore when describing my post baby belly. When I stopped nursing Zoe at 12 months, I also stopped burning those extra calories and started putting on a little weight. Now don't get me wrong, I've been to the gym sporadically over the past year, but this time, I was ready to get serious.

Enter our awesome baby sitter, Chelsea, who just got her personal training certification and wanted to practice on family and friends. Yes, please! So Chelsea has been "practicing" on me and kicking my booty....in a good way. After our first few sessions, I was so sore, it hurt to walk up and down the stairs, step over the baby gate and dare I say, sit on the toilet! It's getting better with each workout, and not only do I feel great, I'm already seeing results. I can actually see where my abs used to be! I can't thank Chelsea enough for getting me started. Now I just have to keep it up...and stop eating Will's potty training candy! (that's another blog for another time)

I'm also going to Body Bar {strength training) classes at the gym, and 3-year-old Will likes to join me at the end of the class for stretching. The instructor's daughter was hanging out at the back of the class and captured this priceless picture of us. Love it!
