Have you seen all the fabulous new fashion trends for fall? They've been out in stores for a while but they're really getting a lot of attention now.

At my house, it's my 13-year-old daughter who's caught up in all the trends. In fact she's become my fashion expert.

I've heard plenty of, "Oh mom, are you really going to wear that?" It can be enough to shake a mom's confidence!

Am I looking that old that I can't wear that? Or am I just "2000 and eight?" Do I have a clue when it comes to fashion?

I have to say I think I still know what looks good on me! In fact, my daughter can't wait to fit into some of my fashion choices!

Moms, don't be shy. I say invest a little fall fashion into your closet! It's a great pick-me-up. And, after all that back-to-school shopping for the kids, we deserve a little treat!

Just in case you don't have someone to let you in on what's in for 2012, here goes:
patterened pants, tops with bedazzled collars, bright colors (even for winter!), statement handbags and dress sweaters up by pairing them with fun skirts.

I've already started clearing my closet to make way for some new buys for fall. A good rule to remember: If you haven't worn an item in your closet for a year, it's time to get rid of it!

My fashion sense as a mom is still intact, thank you very much!
