We love to celebrate all the holidays at our house.

But is it me or have you also noticed the lack of time and space in retail for Thanksgiving? Some of my friends skip the Thanksgiving decorating altogether and start decorating for Christmas right after Halloween!

Don't get me wrong. I'm over the moon when it comes to Christmas decorating but I still say we need to take time out for Thanksgiving. It's an original, all-American holiday that seems to be pushed out for the cash holidays these days. Every store; every mall; everywhere you turn - Christmas is already in your face.

I realize Thanksgiving is also more than food and decorations. So maybe it is OK to not have think of it in such commercial terms as the other holidays. After all, when you think about it, thanks and giving should be a part of our everyday lives.
