Where do the years go? We’ve started another school year and my kids are already in the 2nd and 5th grades. I still remember picking them up from preschool, and now this is the last year they’ll be together in school until high school!
And it’s in the little things where I notice the biggest changes. Take the backpacks.
Throughout preschool and elementary school, both kids have had cute little backpacks from Hanna Andersson. One year, Jacob had a blue and green backpack with moose running wild across pockets and under zippers.
Most recently, we upgraded Jacob's school bag to an orange and blue camo creation…with the matching lunch bag and water bottle.
Taryn Vanderford loves being a mom to her two elementary-aged kids, Jacob and Olivia. Activities with the kids and a full-time job keep Taryn pretty busy, but in her free time she enjoys taking pictures, reading, Jazzercising, gardening, traveling and playing the piano for church.
Jacob’s always been pleased with his school bags…actually he never really commented either way…until this year.
Enter Under Armour. Boys are really big for this athletic gear…from clothing to shoes to accessories. Clerks at Von Maur have told me that parents buy armfuls of popular clothes for their sons…and we’re talking even for the little guys, like three year olds.
The UA symbol is snazzy and my son is not immune from catching on to the trendy sports gear.
Even my 2nd grader decided to switch from her pink and leopard backpack and try out the bold messenger bag. We even had drama over this new bag…flowers and paisley or polka dot horses?
Oh… the issues of a little girl! lol
My kids are growing up…the school bags don’t lie.
Have a great school year!
