Some people don't want to clip coupons. They don't want to spend the time, the effort or the inconvenience of having to lug them to the store with them every time they shop.
There are still ways those kinds of shoppers can save every time they go to the store.
That means, don't walk through the main aisle. Go to the perimeter of the store and walk around that way, along the walls.
That can save you money because you aren't tempted with the easy to grab, cute items that are placed on the front of the aisles that will only rack up your bill. Walking along the back of the aisles also takes you by clearance merchandise. These are items that are often marked often 15% - 70% off the regular price.
I find that pairing coupons with these clearance items can lead to really big savings. It is almost the only way that I shop! But if you don't want to use coupons, this is a great way to find deals.
It is important to remember that you should only buy items you need. Don't be tempted to buy something you wouldn't otherwise purchase, just because it is cheap.
Often, you'll be given a nickle for each bag you bring. I bring a few bags with me each time I go shopping.
Just remember to wash them once in a while. These bags can become hotbeds of bacteria and other nasty germs they pick up in carts and at the cash register.
Sometimes remembering to actually take the list in the store with me is the most difficult task!
If you have a list and convince yourself that you won't buy anything else, you won't be wasting money. If it is not on the list, it doesn't go in the cart!
