Children’s Fitness Level Declining

New research shows today’s children are not as fit as their parents. gives plenty of ideas for making healthy living a priority for families:

-Involve the whole family in household chores: cleaning, vacuuming and yard work.

- Work hard, play hard -- take every opportunity to play in the leaves, build a snowman, splash in a puddle, or dance.

- Bike or walk to the library together. Head to a nearby park, jump rope, plan a family walk after school or dinner.

- Make a game during T.V. time of dancing during commercial breaks.
