This article, entitled "Juice, Please!" comes from Pat Persaud, MomsEveryday blogger from Omaha, NE.
It's back to school time at our house and that means taking time for a good breakfast with juice. Freshly squeezed juice.
It's something I've done for my kinds since they started kindergarten and continue now even though they are high school age!
It's something my daughter especially loves and it's really not that hard to do! I just use a manual juicer, cut the orange or grapefruit a few turns on the juicer and voila! Fresh squeezed juice. Just takes a little planning, buying a bag of oranges at the grocery.
It also guarantees my child is getting at least one serving of fruit a day without any added sugars! Not to mention, orange juice is high in vitamin C and potassium. Grapefruit is the second highest in vitamin C.
It may sound like a lot of work but it really isn't. Try it now and again and enjoy the smiles and thank yous that are sure to make your day!
