How to create a miniature garden

School is out for the summer, and you might be looking for a way to get your kids into gardening.

It's always fun to use your creativity when gardening and miniature gardens are a fun way to get kids involved.

Start with a unique container for your garden and fill it with potting soil. Let the kids choose a few plants and flowers to add to the container.

Next up, decorate it! Here are a few fun ideas for miniature garden decorations:

  • Collect rocks and paint them
  • Collect toys from the bottom of the toy box to create a theme
  • Include a pond or bird bath by pressing a clear plastic dish into the soil
