Chocolate Covered Bananas
Kids are done with school and enjoying their summer break. Here's a fun, healthy, kid-approved recipe that's easy to whip up.
4 large ripe bananas
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 – 2 Tablespoons paraffin wax (optional)
Desired toppings: nuts, sprinkles, coconut, granola
Peel bananas and cut in half; insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half. Melt chocolate chips and wax. Roll each banana half in melted chocolate and sprinkle with toppings of choice, reheating chocolate as needed. Put bananas on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and freeze for 2 hours. Store in an airtight container.
