Sir, We'll Need Those Glasses Back

"What a dork!"

Those three words were uttered by my son over the weekend -- and directed at me.

Sure -- they had been planted there by his mom. But he still took pleasure at saying it.

Here's the background: we were rushing around Disney's Hollywood Studios park in Orlando -- looking for the next ride.

We got in line at the Star Tours -- a place where they show us a funny Star Wars video.

They gave us the fancy glasses and we strapped in to watch the screen.

It's one of those places where they tilt and shift the floor on you to make it seem like you're going for a ride.

The family enjoyed the show and as we walked out, tossed our glasses into the bin to be cleaned.

We were off to the next ride.

By then, it was sprinkling out.

After a couple more rides, the sun was back again.

I grabbed my sunglasses off the top of my head -- and immediately noticed the problem.

I had tossed my sunglasses into the recycle bin at the Star Wars ride -- and kept the useless-to-the-sun 3D glasses.

Thankfully, the sunglasses were some cheap ones.
