Many area families enhanced their summer by taking advantage of NRD and related recreational areas, and two more lucky visitors to those sites have won $100 gift cards. The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District held three drawings throughout the summer for gift cards from Scheel’s. Contestants printed their entry sheet through the NRD’s web site; lpsnrd.org; or through MomsEveryDay.com, then visited at least six of the family-friendly recreational sites listed on the sheet. Completed entries were taken or mailed to the NRD.

Congratulations to Celeste Luedtke, of Martell and Joshua Masek, of Valparaiso, winners of the August drawing. NRD Environmental Education specialist McKenzie Barry said, “We hope District families became more familiar with the NRD’s public use areas through this summer’s contest and will make those areas favorite places to have fun learning about and enjoying nature!”
