Q: Can I be a ProActive member if I don't have a medical condition?
A: Absolutely! Madonna ProActive is open to all members of the community, regardless of ability level. ProActive is an extension of our main campus hospital, which is what makes us unique. We have the knowledge of more than 50 years of healthcare expertise and employ medical experts such as doctors, nurses, registered dieticians, exercise physiologists and rehabilitation experts. This combination of professionals supports the variety of needs our members have when beginning a wellness program. We welcome anyone to consider ProActive membership. Whether you are fit, aspire to be fit or are faced with a medical challenge. We're confident our team can help you succeed.
Q: Will I feel comfortable at ProActive if I haven't exercised in years?
A: YES! One of the major differences you will notice about ProActive compared to other Lincoln gyms is the feeling of acceptance and support you will experience here. Members often comment that the diversity in age and ability level is exactly what attracted them to join. You will not feel out of place, whether you've been exercising for years or you're just beginning a fitness schedule.
Q: Do you have to pay for group exercise classes featured in the schedule?
A: No! Each week, ProActive offers more than 100 group exercise classes. These include land and water classes so you can enjoy the benefits of both types of exercise. All of the classes in the monthly schedule are FREE of charge for members.
Q: How will I get motivated to become and stay fit?
A: We won't make you shallow promises or offer "quick-fix" solutions, but we will encourage you along the way. When you choose to join ProActive, you are making a decision to improve your life. We understand that, we take it seriously, and we respect you for it. It won't always be easy, but our entire team from wellness experts to environmental services staff will do their job to make your ProActive experience enjoyable and comfortable.
