The Advanced Baby Center

Lincoln’s Home for Healthy Babies since 1889
When you find out you are expecting there are many choices you will need to make which can be overwhelming and you wonder where to start. One of the first things to do is take a tour of the beautiful birthing suites at Saint Elizabeth. You will gain confidence as you learn about classes like Lamaze, breastfeeding, infant care, car seat safety, and exercise. Your provider and our team of nurses work together to make the birth of your baby a cherished experience.

You will become a part of our rich heritage; we have been delivering babies for more than 120 years. Our caring nurses have over 1000 years of combined experience. The Advanced Baby Center is the first in the nation to receive two gold seal awards for high risk obstetrics and neonatal intensive care from the Joint Commission who evaluates hospitals for the highest standards in the delivery of healthcare and organizational performance based on these. Through the years we have learned that no two births are alike—every birth is a miracle.

The Advanced Baby Center is On Your Side
Your provider and our dedicated nurses spend time visiting with you and will help you plan for the birth of your baby. There are birthing options including pain management options—choices from water therapy to epidurals with 24 hour physician administered anesthesia. From private suites with indulging whirlpools, double beds in post partum, and if ever a high-risk situation arises the neonatal intensive care unit has the experience to take care of your baby and make your experience unique to you.

Once your baby is in your arms, you will experience care designed to make you feel comfortable. It is the little things like a dessert cart and room service menu to the big things, like a nurse just for mom and a nurse just for baby. Lactation consultants are available and a baby nutritionist is on staff to help answer your questions. The nursing staff will spoil your new baby while providing compassionate care to the most important people in your baby’s life—you, the parents.
