The mission of Meridian Fire Department as a modern Professional Fire and Emergency Services Organization shall be to minimize or eliminate threats from all emergency events directed at any citizen's life or property. The preservation of the public's safety and property shall be our business and we shall be our neighbor's keeper. This shall be accomplished by insuring that our members are trained and certified to high professional standards ensuring that educating the public in Fire Prevention shall be applied before the Suppression of fire becomes necessary.
