Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit claims it can make hazy, yellowed headlight lenses look like new.

Is it worth it?

The kit includes three items, plastic cleaner and polish, a buffing wheel and a buffing cloth.

The buffing wheel works with any standard hand drill at any speed. After adding a nickel-sized amount of the polish to the buffing wheel, apply the solution to the headlight.

It didn't take long to see the product work. Not only did the Meguiar's start to remove the haze in the headlight, it seemed to buff out some of the minor scratches as well.

On the downside, the fibers in the buffing wheel let loose a little too easily.

The final step is to use the buffing cloth to remove the excess solution, and some of those little fibers left behind.

The Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit did make a difference to the headlight. For a retail price of $16, is it worth it? We say yes.
