Sarah Grady Ackerman talks with Luisa Devia from Neighborhood Health Services about how sometimes moms tend to overlook themselves by focusing on the care of their children. Neighborhood Health Services helps to establish primary and specialty care for mothers who tend to overlook themselves. They have the We Care network that helps mothers apply for a program that provides specialties that moms may need. Specialties can range from neurology, nephrology, and radiology, and when there are procedures needed where Neighborhood Health Services are not able to provide the correct equipment; they refer the mothers out through the We Care Network. It helps moms to remember that Neighborhood Health Services is there to back them up and help them to stay moms, and that their health is important too.
