Safety Restraints and Motor Vehicle Crashes

Sarah Grady Ackerman talks with Dr. Dennis G. Fiorini from Fiorini Chiropractic Center about how car crashes can affect you as you get older. A recent study showed that last year there were less fatalities and motor vehicle crashes since 1949. According to NHSA, National Highway Safety Administration, the decrease in fatalities is due to people actually using seat belts and shoulder harnesses. What people may not realize is that by using safety restraints, it can actually increase your risk for neck injuries which can down the road case misalignment on vertebrate causing pressure on the nervous system that can further cause respiratory, cardiac or even gastrointestinal problems. Chiropractors are there to help find those misalignments before the problems increases to something major.
