Sarah Grady Ackerman talks with Barbara Cliffe-Miller from Memorial Hospital and Manor about signs that should not be ignored after post delivery. A lot of new moms, especially those who have had c-sections, have pain or problems lifting their new child. New babies require a lot of lifting, care and laundry. While you’re pregnant, your pelvis positions forward, and sometimes you don’t position it back after the pregnancy. Weak abs muscles and scar tissue are problems and can be very painful. There are ways to handle the pain and take care of it. It’s very important for a mom to talk to her doctor as it is not normal to have pain. Physical therapy may be able to help with those problems.
