Sarah Grady Ackerman talks to Heather Telfer with Whole Child Leon about childhood obesity. The 95210 program for children has been adopted by Whole Child Leon to help Moms prepare themselves. It stands for 9 hours of sleep, 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, 2 hours or less of screen time, 1 hour of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks and tobacco. There are some scary stats out there that have led to this program. Preschoolers can average 32 hours of screen time a week, and teen boys can average more than a quart of sugary drinks per day. Screen time is hard to get away from which can include TV, the Wii, the computer, their iPod touch, and it all adds up.
