Taryn Vanderford co-anchors “First at Four” Monday through Friday with her husband, Jon Vanderford. This show is a welcoming mix of the day's top stories, interviews that matter to you, and fun features. Taryn’s been with the station since February of 2010 when she teamed up with Jon to co-anchor the 10/11 morning show.

Twice a week on “First at Four”, you’ll see “House Works” and “Solutions in Seconds” segments that Taryn produces and hosts. These stories help you make homemaking hip! You can also see Taryn's reports on MomsEveryday.com where Taryn writes a blog on her “mom life.” And tune in at 8:55 a.m. each weekday for Taryn’s “MomsEveryday” interviews.

A farm girl from Pender, Nebraska, Taryn attended a country school. She uses that rural upbringing to find “Pure Nebraska” stories. Look for this half hour program every Tuesday on MyTV at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. and on 10/11 Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.

For seven years, Taryn and Jon lived in Knoxville, Tennessee where Taryn worked as a producer, writer and researcher for the following national shows: A&E's "America's Castles", HGTV's "Country at Home", "Country Style" and "Restore America", and the DIY Network's "Weekend Decorating" and "DIY Basics." Taryn and her team were pleased to win a Telly Award for their work on the HGTV show "Country Style." A highlight for Taryn included field producing a segment with her family here in Nebraska for the TV special "Thanksgiving Across America" on the Food Network.

During her career, Taryn has been a radio announcer for country stations WIVK and WOKI in Knoxville and for KFOR, 96KX and KFRX in Lincoln. She also served as an adjunct journalism professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Taryn graduated with highest distinction from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In college, she played saxophone in the Cornhusker Marching Band…where she met Jon.

Taryn and Jon enjoy being involved with the community and frequently serve as the master of ceremonies at Lincoln area charity events. Taryn loves being a mom to their two kids, Jacob and Olivia.
