Papillion Sanitation FAQ
Q: How does Recycling = Rewards work?
A: Each household receives a red 96 gallon toter with a chip. This chip identifies the home address. Each container is weighed every time it is emptied. For every pound of recycling the customer receives 25 points that may be used to redeem for rewards.
Q: How does Recycling = Rewards differ from other recycling programs in the area?
A: We are the only company that takes glass in our recycling.
Q: How much does recycling typically weigh?
A: Some examples of 1 pound of recycling are: 2 glass bottles, 18 plastic bottles, 32 aluminum cans, 1 cardboard box. Of course, weights vary by size of materials.
Q: How much can a typical household expect to earn in rewards?
A: Most households typically earn $20 per month in rewards from the participating businesses.
Q: How do you redeem your points?
A: Each household will activate their account for points through RecycleBank. Within 24-48 hours of pickup of recycling, points will be deposited into your RecycleBank account. Members can redeem their points online through the website, recyclebank.com.
Q: Do I have to sort my recycling?
A: Not at all. All recycling goes into the large red tote. We do ask that all recyclables are empty.
