Q: How is early education changing in the United States?
A: Our children are expected to come to school knowing much more than what was required in the past. In many districts, students are expected to know how to recognize and write all letters as well as numbers 1-20. Q: My child can't seem to focus without me walking them through each step of their homework. Why is this?
A: Homework time can be frustrating for students and parents when a child doesn't seem to be motivated to try on their own. When a student is exhibiting off-task behavior, such as twirling or sharpening their pencil multiple times as well as finding other reasons to leave the table, it can make homework time drag on for what feels like hours. Often times, these behaviors are an easy way for children to avoid work that is frustrating to them. A: The ACT is a high-stakes exam that every student should be prepared for. Without guidance on the subject matter, your student simply will not raise their composite score just by seeing the exam again and again. They need an expert to identify their strengths and weaknesses and take them through the content of the test step-by-step.
