About Us

YWCA of Rockford Child Care Solutions serves as a Child Care Resource and Referral Agency for Boone, Stephenson, Winnebago, and Jo Daviess counties. Our agency administers the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). CCAP helps families that meet the income guidelines, and who work and go to school, pay for some the cost of child care. In addition, our agency provides customized child care referrals to families of all income levels.

Who is eligible for the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program?
-Low income working families -TANF clients in education, training, or other work related activities approved by TANF -Teen parents (under age 20) in high school, or a GED program -Low income families who are in school or training and are not receiving TANF cash assistance

What are the income guidelines for the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program?

How old can a child be to qualify for the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program?
All children under age 13 are eligible. Children 13 or over are eligible if they are under court supervision or have written documentation from a medical provider stating they are physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves.
