Q: How do we receive our calls?
A: Either thru the 911 Emergency System or Individuals can call our Emergency number direct at 815-633-6388 24/7, 365 days a year.
Q: How much does our services cost?
A: It depends on the level and type of services that the customer needs or requests.
Q: What is the difference between an EMT and a Paramedic?
A: The difference is the number of hours in classroom and clinical education. A Emergency Medical Techican-Basic takes approximately 1 year to complete and a Paramedic up to 2 years to complete his/her education. All are required 120 hours of continued education every 4 years to keep their license with the State of Illinois.
Q: What other services do we offer?
A: We offer wheelchair and medcar services for customers who do not need a ambulance. We also provide Expanded Scope Paramedic services for more seriously ill patients. We also can provide air ambulance service for customers requiring long distance transports. And finally we provide coverage to many local social and sporting events in Northern Illinois area.
Q: Are we locally owned and how lng have you been in business?
A: Yes we are locally owned, and the company is family operated and all live in the Rockford area. We started our business back in August of 1978, so we have been in business for nearly 33 years. Making our service the oldest private ambulance service in the history of Rockford, Illinois.
