Parents Hiring Consultants for Child's "Sleep Training"

NEW YORK (WIFR) -- Many parents of infants and toddlers know all about sleepless nights. Now some are hiring sleep professionals to help everyone get a good night's rest.

Consultants come into a home and help infants learn to fall asleep on their own and soothe themselves back to sleep during the night by organizing a daytime napping and feeding schedule.

They also help to create the right sleep environment with white noise and the proper temperature.

But sleep training may not be for every baby. Parents should talk to their pediatrician before organizing sleep schedules.
